About me

Hello, I'm Lisa.
I'm the founder of VA-VOS - a Virtual Assistant offering Virtual Office Support, working remotely from my home office in the gorgeous spa town of Harrogate.
I started my career in retail management, before buying a Children's Nursery School in 1995.
In 2008 I needed a new challenge and so closed the Nursery and accepted a 6 month contract as Practice Manager/Personal Assistant to a partner of a well-known Wealth Management Group. Although the contract was for 6 months, I completed the works in just 3. This is when I realized that my organisational skills and can do attitude, coupled with my vast experience could be of assistance to Business Owners and Entrepreneurs alike.
In late 2008, I went to work as PA to the director, at the start-up stage of an import company, and was instrumental in the business achieving a £6 million turnover in its second year of trading. During my 11 years with this company, several other businesses were formed, including: a property development company which lead to a property letting company with an ever increasing portfolio of both residential and business properties, a Consultancy firm, a Car servicing and MOT garage and an exciting toy range.
I have experience of sole traders, partnerships, Limited Liability Partnerships and Limited Companies, both Vat and Non-Vat registered.
My qualifications include, but are not limited to: sage 50c (stage 1-3), Xero Advisor Certification inc Payroll, ICB Bookkeeping level 2, Quickbooks, Autoworks online - MAM, ECDL and a Diploma in Health and Social Welfare.
I am registered with: the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, The Society for Virtual Assistants and the ICO for data protection (ZA5628688).
I also have professional indemnity insurance with policy bee.
